I was asked by a user on LinkedIn if I could build a dashboard that could predict the chances of West Ham avoiding relegation in 2020……
So I did.
The average points for safety over last 4 Seasons was 38, If we use this as a benchmark West Ham require 1.6 points per game from their remaining games.
5 of their remaining games are against hard to beat opposition.
Excluding these 5 games West Ham require on average 2 points per game, with 3 games against the bottom 4. Matching Aston Villa’s results and then winning that game will give West Ham a better chance to avoid relegation.
Predicted Final Position: 17th What I need to do is parameterise the dashboard so I can check the stats for the other contenders.
